Delicious Omega 3 Infused Guacamole Recipe
On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m showing you how to make the best guacamole dip recipe, infused with omega 3s.
Based on the ingredients, this is one of the healthiest dips or side dish recipe ideas you can make.
Here’s What Makes This Guacamole Recipe So Healthy
This delicious guacamole recipecontains a variety of healthy fruits, spices, and omega 3s.
Here’s the lowdown on the health benefits of just a few of the ingredients in this delicious guacamole dip recipe dish.
#1. Tomatoes
Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which is a carotenoid believed to help fight cancer and protect against cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis, while also boosting fertility.
#2. Avocados
Many people consider avocados to be a “wonder fruit” as it is one of the world’s healthiest foods.
Avocados are:
- Rich in healthy monounsaturated fats
- High in fiber
- An excellent source of vitamins B, E, and folic acid
- High in potassium
- Great to help reduce inflammation
- Helps protect against cancer and cardiovascular disease
#3. Red Onions
Red onions are a heart healthy food that contains a rich source of flavonoids and polyphenols.
They have also been shown to lower bad LDL cholesterol, while improving overall blood lipid profile.
#4. Omega 3 Fish Oil
Now, you may be thinking, “fish oil in guacamole, damn that’s gross!”.
But trust me, when you use the highest quality and most delicious fish oil brands it doesn’t taste fishy, nor does it give you the fish burps.
Plus, a high quality lemon infused fish oil makes the guacamole creamy smooth, and the lemon flavor complements the zing from the lime.
If you’ve been a long time Live Leaner, you know how I feel about supplementing with omega 3 fish oils.
There are two main reasons why fish oils are one of the most highly recommended supplements on the market by fitness and nutrition professionals.
- omega 3 fish oil works in building muscle, burning fat, and decreasing inflammation.
- most people are deficient in omega 3s since the body can’t produce this essential fat on its own.
This means it must be consumed via diet and supplementation.
If there’s one new supplement to add to your diet, I recommend it be a high quality omega 3 fish oil.
But be warned.
Not All Fish Oils Are The Same
Not all fish oils are created equal, which is why I only use the best of the best.
When I lived in Canada, I was a brand ambassador and spokesperson for NutraSea omega 3 fish oil.
So I would use their fish oil when making this guacamole recipe.
However, now that I live in the US, I don’t have access to NutraSea anymore so I use another high quality and delicious fish oil from a brand called Nordic Naturals.
Use This Delicious And Healthy Fish Oil From Nordic Naturals
Get a bottle of the highest quality and delicious lemon flavored omega 3 fish oil from Nordic Naturals.
By pairing all of these healthy ingredients together, it makes this guacamole the ultimate inflammation reducing recipe, that can help protect you against cancer and cardiovascular disease.
